The Pre-sessional English programme is designed for international students who wish to progress onto GCSE, A-Level or International Foundation Year programmes at Astrum Education colleges.
The course provides comprehensive preparation for students who need to improve their English language level before they embark on their academic study programme. It introduces students to the subject-focused terminology and vocabulary required in order to be successful on subsequent long-term academic courses. The programme also introduces the study skills and techniques that help students make a smooth transition to the UK education system.
Small class sizes ensure that the programme can be tailored to participating students’ needs and that they receive individual attention from our highly qualified staff. In addition to the development of linguistic skills in the classroom, students can also benefit from excursions to places of interest in London, including leading universities such as LSE and UCL, cultural attractions and museums.
